Delhi, California Merced River CG. 39 degrees partly sunny.

Buster drives north and west today to San Leandro, Ca one hundred and one miles where he will stay while we visit with Carole, Jackie and Avery in Oakland, CA. Buster is parked in Trailer Haven fourteen miles from their home. Buster is adjusting to life in the city. Travel going north on CA 99 was partly sunny and temperatures in the upper 50's. Going west on interstate 580 turned rainy I actually turned the wipers for a short while. It is now rainy and overcast and snow is forecast for the weekend, oh no.

Delhi, California Merced River CG. 34 degrees partly sunny to 61 degrees mostly sunny actually a nice day, no rain now for two days.

We left Buster to do some shopping to restock the pantry and be ready for two weeks in Oakland.

I contacted Trailer Haven in San Leandro and they have a site for Buster for our intended stay, the same trailer park Buster was in the past two trips.

Delhi, California Merced River CG

Monday, February 21, 2011

Coarsegold, CA Escapee Park of the Sierras, Rain 34 degrees. We bid our fair well to Park of the Sierras and a cool wet week, but it is winter. We did spend a lot of time in Buster as it was the start of the NASCAR racing year this past weekend. We did have one trip into Yosemite Park seeing El Caption and Bridle Vail Falls, there was no shortage of water. Seeing the snow plowed to the side reminded us that winter is here.

Delhi, California Merced River CG. 56 degrees partly cloudy, at least no rain today. We are in the big valley now and out of the foothills. Buster passed a large number of large standing puddles in our travels today from the accumulated rains of the past week. Buster is just west of CA 99 and just north of the Merced River.

Coarsegold, CA Escapee Park of the Sierras, Rain 46 degrees mostly cloudy to 48 degrees and rain.
Buster at Park of the Sierras
Park of the Sierras is a nice Escapees park in the eastern sierra foothills. There are about three hundred sites and all are on a different level. There are no rigs next to each other a nice touch.

"Weather" and the casino
All day rain we are catching up for all the rain we did not have since October of last year. We did get out for dinner tonight but that was all. Staying in and being lazy.

Coarsegold, CA 4

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Coarsegold, CA Escapee Park of the Sierras, Rain 46 degrees to 57 partly sunny to overcast to rain "weather".
I stayed in all day not feeling much better but improving slowly all day. With that in mind I did watch NASCAR racing mid day as we are on PST three hours earlier than the race run on EST.
Then we "had weather" heard the drops coming from the trees and falling onto Busters roof. A steady song with changing intensity the rest of the day.

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Coarsegold, CA Escapee Park of the Sierras, Rain 50 degrees to 56 degrees, yes it came in the morning "weather" rain Buster got a good soaking today. The afternoon cleared nicely to go out for a drive so we went to the casino for lunch, Chukchansi Indian Casino is only three miles from the park.

Bonnie took bedding to the laundry here in the park and got that done. The park does not want installed washer used in the park, sewer system cannot handle the amount of water a washer uses. About that time I was feeling unwell and stayed in bed the rest of the night.

Yosemite looking west
Temperature to 63 degrees this afternoon mostly sunny. Well we had a nice day, the calm before the storm. In this first picture looking west you can see the clouds coming for tomorrow "weather". The granite is amazing in Yosemite National Park.

Snow Capped
We drove Silver Sally into Yosemite National Park enjoying the day we had great time. In the picture 6 you can see the snow on the mountains and driving the roads there was plowed snow on the edges of the road above four thousand feet. Higher up there were places with snow in the open areas and you can see where the snow blowers carved thru drifted snow to clear the road.
Amazing Granite Face
We went up as far as Bridalveil Falls inside the park.
Bridalveil Falls

The Low Road
On our return I noticed this other road that we did not take, The Low Road, we took the high road. Actually that road is the road from the west and we had come on the road from the south in this area they are close together. The Low Road runs thru the middle of the picture.

Latter post:

It got up to 57 degrees mostly sunny less wind making a nicer day.

George & Bonnie went to the Arizona Marketplace touring the vendors with a few things sticking to our fingers (buying). Mike & Lamie were there also as we saw The Ranch decal on the car, the Alaska licence plate also helped make their car standout in our eye.

I took pictures of some fittings used to create the tents the vendors use. I sent the pictures in an e-mail to our son in law to think over if they want to make a shade cover for use at the softball tournaments this summer.

Silver Sally and Buster Brown in a campground
We moved Buster for one night stay in a campground with full hookups for Buster. Drain the holding tanks and fill the water tank. Do laundry ten days worth and take showers with the water running all the time to really get clean. It has been since January 4, taking long showers.

Even Silver Sally and Buster Brown got cleaned up while in the campground. Looks like Buster Brown will have a new friend soon, more information on that another day.
