Goldsboro, NC Zane is guest playing with another team baseball in a one day tournament.  There were three games the team played resulting in a tournament win for the team. Zane and two boys from his Five Star Wildcats team guest played.

Tan Jan shiftier has a button on the side for the lower gears after selecting low range with the shiftier the button can be used for low selections (3 or 2). Today trying to select third the button felt funny, when selecting there was no detent or push back to the button neutral position. I could bring it back and get the gear selection but there is a broken part in there.

 Zane baseball, Wake Forrest weekend. Zane’s playing was good but the overall team play did not add up to winning games. The first game they scored a lot of runs but they allowed more runs than they scored. The second game, after a one game break was not good no hitting and allowing the other team to score a lot of runs and were never in the game. Time to go. We did have lunch during the one game break at pizza parlor. The pizza place calling itself “New York style” pretty good for North Carolina pizza. There were these tiles on the wall showing the different boroughs of New York City, a nice touch of New York.

Late baseball, first game today was not scheduled until four o’clock and the earlier games ending late this game started closer to five o’clock. Zane is “tracked out” so he is able to sleep in tomorrow morning. I would call this a lost weekend, fodder for other teams. These boys all had an off weekend together.  

We got home late, or we were out after dark. Just the travel one way was just about an hour, at least there was light traffic for the after dark trip.

Today after four in the afternoon we picked up our Kitten. The shelter nurtured him in the morning. We have been getting “cat stuff” again. Litter box, water fountain, cats like falling water for drinking, it is like drinking from the faucet. Scratching post and other toys, balls so the house is ready for a cat.

I cut wood for the portable air conditioner exhaust vent plate out of pine. I might need to get a hard wood as this pine board is already showing signs of splitting.

Zane (our grandson) is in a year round school program (sixth grade) and is tracked out now. So we took Zane to lunch his choice, Wendy’s.

It was back to the dentist today after two o’clock we were early. I have been having computer “issues” and was looking around last night and finding hh Gregg was closing a store near the dentist so that needed to be checked out. The window sign said that eight days remained. Going inside it looked pretty bare and I looked for where the computers were displayed. There were two computers on the counter. A small one I did not even look at and a Dell seventeen inch screen laptop that I walked right up to. There was not enough sale people so I just waited for one to come to me as I wanted the Dell computer. While waiting another customer came by and told me the price marked down to $ 260 and change from $ 499.00. At that price I did not want to lave and let someone get it and so I stayed with it while waiting for the sales person. I could not move it as there ws a security leash attached.

My wife was wandering around and came by waiting there while I looked around at what else was left for sale. There was two Shark vacuums (stick model) there that I thought my wife would like. So I sent her there to look and she picked out one.

Making the story shorter, the computer needed rebooting (I was not leaving without that being done) from the start and this takes a while so more looking time we found FitBit for $ 43.00, now it is checkout time. We did good saving $ 464.00 off list price in the going out of business sale.

Rain overnight, Buster is staying so clean with these showers and no dirt-dust from ranch roads. Things here are grass or cement driveway. We went to the mall in Cary to walk checking out our FitBit and had a nice walk.

A good rain over night so Buster is pretty clean or all the dirt - dust is washed off from the Texas gate.

We settled in here for the night after two hundred four miles for Buster today. The Karguard is working well as designed. The installation can be tweaked a little to suite me. The bolts at the ends of the towbar the tops have holes for the pins to go into, I would like them to be crossway to the front of the car not a random direction. There are brackets that are two different lengths, we are using the long ones. Maybe adjusting the position of the mounting of the Karguard on the towbar I could use the short ones getting the Karguard closer to Tan Jan.

A rest day and doing little piddle jobs around Buster. I ordered on line a replacement convex mirror for Buster. Be here in a week free shipping, should be free it is light and they are charging enough for the mirror. I have been having computer “issues” and need to get after that while we are here in North Carolina. I was able to move the Karguard back a little on the towbar, so we will see next time I connect Tan Jan to the towbar I can use the short brackets.

Inside projects today, until it clears. It did clear and I did some piddling around outside. I am continuing to go slow until Monday then it is “back to work”.
