Buster’s Gate - Calliham, Texas - Sept 2 - 3 wind

Tuesday, September 2, 2014
Buster’s Gate - Calliham, Texas - mostly cloudy 77 degrees, humidity (100%) (we did have a 73 DPSF (drops per square foot) wind 4 MPH (morning) to (afternoon) Hazy sun 94 degrees humidity (49%) wind 18 MPH.

Nothing going here, work wise at the well site. Just routine oil and water removal and the daily gager (person for the oil company to check the oil well and order trucks for the oil and water and any other needs to keep the well operation) visits, at least two a shift. The wind gusts coming from the south-southeast have had me bringing in the left table side awning in the afternoon. The gusts are causing the awning to flap and bow up, safer to close the awning in.

Buster’s Gate - Calliham, Texas - mostly cloudy 76 degrees, humidity (93%) wind 0 MPH (morning) to (afternoon) cloudy 91 degrees humidity (54%) wind 18 MPH with gusts to 26 MPH. There is tropical storm Dolly going into Mexico below our location. We are predicted to get thunder storms after noon today. Now before noon we had a brief shower enough to wet everything at once.

This afternoon the rain shower came, but the wind and dust before the rain were of more concern as I needed to close the main and bedroom awnings before these awnings were damaged. This is the first time I had to close the main awning since Buster came to this site. I had closed the table side awning just after one as the sun was off that sides windows at that time. The shower did not amount to any measurable rain just enough to wet down the dirt road. The wind and gusts never blew out the “pilot lights” flairs.
