Today it was back to Walmart for a large television wall mount bracket. Took a while to figure out the hardware (screws) to mount the brackets to the television, too many selections, all metric. So I think I am done with the television side now to the box for the plate I remove the old one and place the new plate, something is not right. Getting out the old tape measure checking and figure, does not add up. I need about two inches with the television installed to allow the television to be lifted off the bracket.
Now this wood stand I made in 2008 with the old television in mind. I have found the horizontal plywood the plate attaches to is too high for the large television and wall mount bracket. Trying to reset this and fit check the television I find that the new wall mount bracket is a more flush mount type and the vertical plywood supports are set too far back and need to come flush with the face of the opening.
