Morning 50 Degrees, Wind SSE calm & gusting to 1 Mph, Humidity 99%, fog.
Afternoon 75 Degrees, Wind SSE 13 & gusting to 20 Mph, Humidity 55%, partly cloudy.
The nights are busy with the first hour mostly the vehicles going out from the morning shift along with the sand trucks that never stop coming and going as long as the frac is going smoothly. Usually two but sometimes there are four that will arrive at one time. Going into the shack to sit and keep warm or out of the wind. The day person has a television here and that helps pass the time between vehicles and gate openings. But just when the show is interesting, or something I want to watch there is a vehicle coming or going, this is a no waiting operation. So it is off to open the gate for the vehicle to pass thru.
Iron Horse RV Ranch - Yorktown, TX - Monday, February 15, 2016
Morning 47 Degrees, Wind SW 2 & gusting to 4 Mph, Humidity 95%, sunny.
Afternoon 77 Degrees, Wind NNW 8 & gusting to 10 Mph, Humidity 35%, sunny.
One thing about the night shift is there no salesmen or visitors coming for a quick in and out. That is a daytime operation only. There are stragglers (pickup trucks) that are later coming in or going out. In the morning arrivals starts about four-thirty with the early birds but most are in by five-thirty. The afternoon shift change there are more stragglers going out. After that there are diesel fuel truck most shifts along with chemical trailer trucks.
