Morning 55 Degrees, Wind ne at 3 to 4 Mph, Humidity 96%, overcast, fog.
Afternoon 72 Degrees, Wind ESE at 3 to 9 Mph, Humidity 73%, partly cloudy.
Everything is wet from the fog and high humidity, almost like a rain. Learned today the coil tubing crew is about half way done. This crew is moving at a snails pace like taking forever, maybe stretching this job oout until they get another assignment. I went to do our weekly shopping.

Morning 64 Degrees, Wind SE at 3 to 5 Mph, Humidity 99%, mostly cloudy.
Afternoon 73 Degrees, Wind SSE at 4 to 12 Mph, Humidity 59%, mostly cloudy.
Just enough to keep us going to the gate. Sundays are a little quieter no “checkers or lookers” looking at the progress or checking as to what is complete as of that day.

It is like a box of Chocolate you just never know what you are going to get the way sand trucks and water trucks run. They always seem to come and stay an unexpected amount of time. Some will arrive and unload and be promptly out the gate others seem to camp out spending an extended amount of time completing their work, you can not expect any routine.

Morning 38 Degrees, Wind N at 15 to 25 Mph, Humidity 97%, cloudy rain.
Afternoon 32 Degrees, Wind N at 4 to 5 Mph, Humidity 51%, cloudy.
This morning is the high temperature for the day. The frack job compered today, to us we see a change in vehicles coming and going from the gate. The rain stopped after about a tenth of an inch by eleven this morning but it got and stayed colder.
For this cold weather I put water in Busters tank and disconnect and drain the water hose and filter. I have a small heater in the water bay to prevent freezing.
Along with the sand trucks not coming and going from the gate the refuel trucks departed before I went off shift. Diesel fuel to operate the pressure trucks is serviced by a fuel company and they keep two straight trucks on site to refuel these trucks and diesel electric generators. Every day at least one eight thousand gallon diesel trailer is delivered some days two. My wife was busy with the frack pressure trucks going out, they came in just before Christmas.

Morning 31 Degrees, Wind NE at 3 to 5 Mph, Humidity 38%, cloudy.
Afternoon 36 Degrees, Wind E at 6 to 10 Mph, Humidity 30%, mostly cloudy.
Sand equipment departed three silo and two conveyer trailers. One “dribbled” on its way out. The sand is very fine reminding me of a lime chalk line. Late this afternoon a coiled tubing convoy came in to the well site, they will be setting plugs in the well.

Slower day, with some of the traffic is the water supply crew removing the water main hose. They have trailers that roll the hose onto big reals, four dections per trailer about six hundred feet of hose per section. The frack involves sand, water chemicals and jell. All put in with high pressure.

Buster's Gate - January 1 - 14
Buster's Gate - January 1 - 14
It has been very mundane vehicles in vehicles out day after day. Last Sunday they lost a tool down the hole and that slowed everything for three days. Since then traffic has picked up with sand truck and water removal trucks coming and going. There are shift changes twice a day with the in traffic starting about four-thirty and the outs down about six-thirty.
There are “runners” (vehicles) run out to get something and run back in to the work site. The site is about four miles in from our location here at the gate.
We have had some cold nights (under thirty degrees) and I was not prepared for the freezing weather and our water hose was frozen in the morning so I switched to internal water until it thawed out. The next night I prepared ahead of time and shutoff the water and drained the hose using internal water. Most days are warming to over sixty degrees and one day this week there were north wind gusts over forty miles an hour.
Frack is winding down and will finish soon then a work over rig will come in then flow back crew for about ten days.

Texas RV Supply, San Antonio, TX - Tuesday, December 19, 2017
Morning 61 Degrees, Wind NNW at calm, Humidity 96%, cloudy rain overnight.
Afternoon 66 Degrees, Wind SSW at 5 to 14 Mph, Humidity 90%, cloudy, rain.
We had rain overnight but there is no mud as the yard is all blacktop. Just a little more work on Buster to go, we will complete today. I texted the gate coordinator we will go the Crystal City camp to wait for a gate and received the ok reply.
After we had breakfast we did our usual shopping for a few things and I got a call for a gate tomorrow north of Ladero. Now back to buster and get ready to roll. We got on the road about one and went for diesel fuel for Buster then interstate ten to interstate thirty-five south Ladero. We pulled up at the gate about four o’clock.
I understood it is the gate we were at in September, but no it is north of the interchange. We get Buster set and the coordinator showed up with the generator trailer about dark, we do not like the short daylight days of December. We start working in the morning.
Buster’s Gate - Encinal, TX - Wednesday, December 20, 2017
Morning 55 Degrees, Wind SW at 1 to 3 Mph, Humidity 91%, partly cloudy.
Afternoon 75 Degrees, Wind W at 5 to 9 Mph, Humidity 29%, partly sunny.
This gate is three and a half miles north from the gate we had in September. There are two big differences, noise and parking. Yes the road (interstate thirty-five) and railroad tracks are almost as close but, there is no railroad crossing to blow the train horn for directly across from us. The truck traffic is up to speed after stopping at the Boarder Patrol check station so there is a noticeable lower noise level at this gate.
Sand delivery today as three sand silo’s were brought in last night.

Morning 45 Degrees, Wind NW at 3 to 5 Mph, Humidity 75%, partly cloudy.
Afternoon 64 Degrees, Wind N at 3 to 7 Mph, Humidity 32%, mostly sunny.
I drug my self thru the day kind of warn out with all we have done this past week. I am expecting my wife to also come down with this crud. It is not fun working not feeling well, used to think nothing of working with a cold in our younger years. We are using a box of tissues a day now, but we did stock up ahead of time.

We are off today but I am “not into it”. Everything is closed tomorrow so we are eating out today and shopping today. We went to Longhorn steak house and I could not finish my meal. I eat about one-third and brought the rest home in a take out box. We did HEB shopping then over to Walmart, I waited in the Tan Jan and napped.

Well if we are not working we can not seem to stay home at Buster. Coming home yesterday after we drove past a truck stop, and talked about having breakfast there today. Wait a minute we did want to do that yesterday but got up too late for that to happen. Today it workrd pretty good and plenty of others having breakfast.
