Movie day with Zane and later baseball practice. Ariana had softball practice at the same time. And I had “my time”. I went back to the car to get my hat. Well it goes back further than that in the spring when I had the trouble with the battery I had separated the key from the key fob (electric lock opener) this way I could leave the engine running while in the store and unlock the car when I return. Well I never reconnected them, until today. I had unlocked the doors and with the fob still in my hand (not realizing that) reached for the hat now I cannot relock the car as the fob dropped as I got the hat. Looking “feeling my pockets” for the fob I cannot find it. But in feeling my pockets there is no wallet in the “wallet place. After Bonnie called “whats thaing so long to get a hat” she came to help me look for the fob. After moving the car no not falling under the car we start unloading to lift the third seat Bonnie found the fob. Now I drove back home and the wallet was sitting here on the computer desk. That was my practice.

Ariana had two fast pitch softball games with the high school freshman and sophomores team this evening. Earlier today she went to Campbell University in Lillington, NC. She was the “catcher” for a friend going to a pitcher camp held there at the university. It was a long day for Ariana and I noticed some thing off her through’s from shortstop to first base. I took Zane bowling then to a friends house to swim. From there Zane had a baseball scrimmage game, mom had pickup.

Two more softball games for Ariana in Cary today while Zane has an eight-thirty baseball game in Oxford. Ariana’s games at ten and four-thirty, so Bonnie and I came home between games. These games they won also so they were 4-1 for the weekend. The last team “seemed to be an older team” so good experience for the girls “playing up” in age group. Zane’s team lost so it was one and done, looser goes home. The weekend was a hot and dry.

There were three softball games for Ariana in Cary today. A high school travel ball team with this weekends play being a show case for college coaches. All the games are competed with different teams records of the games are kept but that is all, no trophies or who won the tournament. The play is all about the girl playing defense coaches seeing what they can do in game conditions. These games are played by time and end “finish the batter”. At least the games later in the day start almost on time.

Ariana’s team did win two of the three games. Most of the girls are “playing up” as the team is mostly younger girls. The game they lost the girls were playing the defense in their secondary position. For Ariana she plays short stop or second base but in this game she was catcher. Ariana is only going into the freshman class and will be a 2019 high school graduate. After Ariana’s games Bonnie and I came home to Buster while John and Ariana went to Zane’s base ball game that started about six.

Bonnie and I went out to lunch with Cindy today bringing Ariana and Zane with us. After that we took Cindy’s dog a retired greyhound to the Cary dog park, the boy needs to run. There are actually two separate parks for small and large dogs. Cindy has a condo with a fecnce postage stamp, not realty the room to “run” a dog.

Busy driving day for me as Ariana had softball practice at the high school in the morning John took her and I picked up after practice ended at nine o’clock, all before the heat of the day. Then the plan was to take Zane to a morning movie but I drove to the wrong theater in Cary and not the one in Apex, my bad. We ended up taking Zane bowling. Then later Ariana had practice with the travel softball team.

I was out early shopping for our lunch,as we are going to Zane’s baseball game in Oxford, NC. Bonnie and I are taking him as the parents are working. It was a hour and twenty-five minute trip. We were early and had lunch there at the park. John came up for the second game at six-thirty. Zane played well, a base hit, a walk and a strikeout with not fielding errors. Zane was “guest playing” for another team with a friend that he played with last year. We arrived home late “for us” it was a long ride home in the dark.

partly cloudy. The thunder showers are doing a good job watering the grass last night and with another one this afternoon.

Bonnie and I took a ride today looking for all kinds of things. First was a washout, business closed, still shown on the website. I will have to order on line, a sound bar for the front television. We have one for the rear television well worth the money to gain the additional volume that the television does not have. OK we both are loosing out hearing we miss words and some mumbling is making it difficult the catch what is being said. The front television some times we need maximum volume when seated further away from the television to hear a program. We also notice a change in sound levels when switching from some broadcast channels to cable channels. We stopped at camping world for an adaptor the will alliw me to use the Coleman propane gas cylinders for our gas grill in place of our twenty pound propane bottle.

Overcast. We did have light thunder showers, .5 inches almost enough to water the grass.
   

Finished the reflectix foil replacement inside (left) we still have three panels but the center panel is now the widest of the three. I also finished the magnets for the sun shades with the larger one inch magnets on the four corners of each sun shade panel. I removed the inside bar magnets and I am also using the one inch magnets on the outside edges of the sun shade panels.

Now work the DVR box has been dropping the voice for six to twelve words during a live or recorded program. I was trying to get an upgraded box for more record time and the eventual television up grade to HD. But they would not send the box without a service call and charging me. The big surprise was one day delivery of the box. I took down the TV dusted and cleaned up the wires “dressed up the routing”. Took out the DVR box and installed the replacement box and reinstalled the television on the mount. Power up and was going thru the setup and programming the new remote control. I was getting a box on the screen that said down loading and this should take no longer than ten minutes. Well four times re-configuring, maybe I connected some wires in correctly, and still no go. I called the Dish number and the automated telephone message saying “do you want to activate the replacement box?” This was my block for completing as everything went smooth from here to the end. I was forgetting to activate the replacement box.

Puttering around Buster cleaning out the dirt and dust in Buster’s basement compartments. It is nice working here as we are on the cement pad and easy to get around in the under the slide out compartments. I still have two more to work on to complete that job.

Afternoon 86 Degrees high for today, Wind SSW 4 & gusting to 9 Mph, Humidity 84%, Partly sunny.   Afternoon thunder showers are in our weather forecast but they held off tonight with only overcast sky’s, meaning it got dark sooner.

Magnets One inch on the left 1/2 on the right

I have had the one inch diameter magnets for a while and worked the left side sun shade panel today. Getting the magnets in the top hem seem just made it, these are thinner than the 1/2 inch, more like a wafer. I put one in the center end (center of Buster) and two on the outer end of the panel. Inside of the glass I am continuing to use the smaller magnets. The larger diameter will help prevent them from being blown off in the Texas high wind. Right side tomorrow. Inside I am also changing the reflectix foil we use inside. Two of the three sections we use inside were only twenty-four inch wide taped together, these needed support rods to stand up some times. The forty-eight inch stand up better. Another job I had to stop as the sun was bearing down on the work area.

Bonnie and I then went out for "Retail therapy" we were able to go to five different stores for different things, some stuck to our fingers and came home with us. We even had lunch out as we were hungry after only three stores.

Practice for Ariana tonight, we did that also as the team is new to us and different coaches. We liked the workout of situation defense practice the girls got for each position, as all the girls took pop-ups and grounders at each infield position. They also participated in relaying fly balls caught in the outfield to home base. The coaches also got a good workout hitting all these softballs out the the girls. Bonnie and I also visited with another girls parents Brain and Tracy as the girls have been playing softball together for years.
