Clearances to bolts on the floor and wires on the wall. After Buster stopped @ Irvine Shade & Door to obtain string for our Day Night shades.

yesterday was a maintenance lay low and rest. I worked two day night shades that required string changes. I need to come up with a list of conditions to be checked by the hydraulic jack company HWH in Moscow, IA. We will be passing thru that area in September.

Wow morning temperatures 48 to 52 here in northern Indiana this morning, I turned on the heater to take away the morning chill. Went to Irvine Shade & Door to get parts for our day-night shades driving thru Elkhart & Goshen, IN. We found some construction I want to avoid when going the Escapade September 11. One two mile section of US 33 is being resurfaced and the other is railroad crossing is being reconstructed and is a detoured route that I will not take Buster on. I'll come from another direction to attend the Escapade. RV forums have said the expected attendance will be near capacity for the fairgrounds.

We stopped by Focal Wood Products in Nappanee, IN yesterday and final measurements were taken for our desk & cabinets.

Focal Wood Products

It was a nice trip here and since we crossed into West Virginia & into Ohio the temperature has been great, low 60's mornings to mid 80's afternoons but there has been more rain. This morning 63 degrees, nice.

Friday & Saturday nights we were in Lancaster, OH and Sunday we stopped at Indian Lake State Park in Lakeview, OH. Most if the route since leaving Interstate 77 has been US 33, a nice route to travel. Most towns are bypassed reducing stop lights for cross traffic and there are major sections of the road are four lane divided road.

Visiting

Thursday, August 19, 2010

Friday, August 20, 2010

Wednesday we just visited with my sister, Irene and her daughter Margaret and husband Larry. Picture of the campground overcast. The weather for me has broken and temperatures have not been reaching the high ninety's with today's morning low the best in a long while, 64 degrees. During our visit at Irene's there was rain but not when we were wanting to be out and about being a tourist. Then again when setting up camp and packing and readying Buster for travel there was a steady rain to work in. Buster had rain traveling from Virginia into West Virginia yesterday but once over the mountain nice sunshine with cooler temperatures. Today it's into Ohio and a two night stop for the weekend.

Saturday was a softball tournament day five games they won second place, but it is a long hot day for everyone. Ariana (11) did well today getting two timely hits with 2 RBI's each time and scoring herself. Zane had three other boys to play with. Between games we were back in the parking lot for lunch and snacks

We started traveling Sunday west thru North Carolina, running into some rain while the traffic was light. Nothing eventful happened other than the rain on our trip. Camper over night in Mount Airy, NC a nice park with WiFi and full hookups. We planned leaving Christine's driveway Sunday after finding the softball this past weekend would only be a one day tournament. One hundred thirty nine miles two and a half hours.

The weather has still been very hot with some days high humidity and there has been some rain showers but nothing to complain about The grandchildren are back in school Ariana as of the second of August and Zane started kindergarten on the ninth. They are in all year school with time off through the school year, July was Ariana's summer break (track 4) there are four tracks with one track always off and July 4, week no school and grade advancement. Last Friday we had lunch with Cindy, Mexican & Sunday she came over to Christine's for dinner.

Because of the split start in school Buster moved over to Christine & John's driveway so grandparents could do child watching before we move on. The top picture is Buster parked in the driveway. And a picture of them leaving the bus.

We start Busters trip west with a stop in Virginia to visit with Irene & Larry then on to Indiana for the Escapees Club Elk members Rally with the next week Escapees Club 50TH Escapade (rally). Buster is then headed to Iowa for some repairs to Buster's jacks and Sally's towbar at their manufacturers. From there we might swing up to Euclid, MN before heading to The Ranch in New Mexico.

Softball Saturday

Grandma on right side

The top picture today is Buster in Moncure,NC. The weather has changed, more comfortable with cooler temperatures and some rain. June & July 2010, 52 of 61 days the high temperature was 90 degrees or above and very dry low humidity. It was just plain hot, uncomfortable weather and not what we expected. Last Wednesday we woke up to a nice all day rain with us staying in and getting some inside things done.

Fuquay Varina Team in Field
Monday and Tuesday we recovered from the softball weekend I did some work for Busters slide outs for the storage compartments (2) there were only sheet metal screws holding them in place and the weight on them when rolled out was causing the screws to pull out. I replaced them with thru bolts.

Ariana Bunting

Saturday was another softball experience, watching the clouds coming in we had sprinkles on and off throughout the day. Ariana and the Fuquay Varina Bombs team (10 Under) had a big day before them. This tournament was scheduled as a one day event with two "pool games" basically warmups that do not count. These are timed one hour and fifteen minutes. The bracket games (4) this week for a total of six games in one day, a lot for the girls. These games are also timed one hour and fifteen minutes with the home team ahead in score game ends, They finished in second place in this tournament.
