Holly Springs, NC - Busters Place - Aug 29,

Holly Springs, NC - Busters Place - August 29, 2015
Well I got the hot water tank leak fixed, could not do it myself as I could not remove the water inlet nipple from the tank. I had put a wrench in the flats of the fitting and the plastic broke. I tried using a nipple removal tool that will grab the inside but I could not move the fitting. I tried a easy-out with no movement finally John got a plumber he knows to come to Buster to remove the nipple. All this work is inside the cabinet and at arms length, no fun working like that.  The plumber was here about an hour and a new brass fitting not leaking was installed in the tank. I had the drain plug out of the hot water tank so that water did not drain out into the compartment. With the tank filled with water there was a very small leak coming from the fitting in the tank. We need to dump pressure and water so out I go to take care of that work. I shut the water supply valve but forgot to remove the pressure before removing the drain plug from the hot water tank. The result is as I am removing the drain plug the sixty pounds water pressure “helps” me and “pow” I get sprayed with most of the ten gallons of water head to toe, but the tank emptied fast. The second water test was no leak. I am leaving the area open until Monday to dry out.
New not leaking fitting installed

In the front drivers chair there were gaps in the foot well area where wires come in to go under the dashboard. Bonnie wanted these closed off. I could not get to the area so I removed the drivers chair from the floor mounting position just to access the area. I installed a Masonite board on each area then reinstalled the seat.

One of the draws in the bedroom the bracket holding the rail in the back had broken and while I was at camping World I purchased a replacement set and installed them after working the floor. I have been getting a lot done with the temperatures not getting a warm, this week only into the high eighties.

Holly Springs, NC - Busters Place - Aug 9 - 18

Holly Springs, NC - Busters Place - Sunday, August 9, 2015

A day of recovery, we did too much and a rest day for today, and we are laying low this week . i need to finish some maintenance I have been putting off with the high heat. Bonnie and i also need to make plans to head west for the winter.

We have had some warm days and rain days close to what anyone would like. It is not getting to the high nineties like we had in July but the low nineties and high eighties. I have been lazy watching television and not doing anything, or the heat sucking the energy out of me. The week of the twenty first I started making a plan for getting Buster moving on next month. This meant I need to get some projects done inside and out. I started with the out as we had nice weather and completed the cleaning of the last compartment. Inside the cabinets above the J lounge are separating from the top of the slide out. This also happened to the cabinets above the computer desk a couple of years ago. I just need to remove the weight inside and prop up then install additional screws.

Ariana’s team has changed with new girls coming on the team and some moving on to to other things in life. Others have joined other teams for age reasons, moving up. There are other Challenger Teams, there are many more different age groups and a high school “National” Team, drawing players and playing nationally.

The Saturday the fifteenth she attended a Challenger team tryout with Sunday a three-hour scrimmage game. Thru the spring she will stay with the same team but will “guest play” with the Challenger National Team at some games (going only as far as New Jersey.

The twenty-second was a tournament weekend and tuned out we only had one day of play as the girls did not have it. They were flat no spirited energy to play. The three games started good but they ran out of energy making errors, they did not put “hits together” leaving runners on base. Ariana played short stop and second base mostly. the third game was late and after dinner. The catcher was sick and Ariana replaced her but there were only nine there at the field and they played the rest of the game a player short. there were only two outfielders.

Holly Springs, NC - Busters Place - Saturday, August 1 - 8

Holly Springs, NC - Busters Place - Saturday, August 1 - 8, 2015
Nothing to write, writer block, no doing nothing to write about, just hanging out doing routine things like shopping for groceries.

This week I was picking Ariana up at the high school as she was taking a one week course in drivers education. But the last day I took her in to school and her mother did the pickup after a ninth grade orientation that started after the drivers education class ended.

Wednesday Bonnie and I were going to watch Ariana practice at the softball field and got a call it was canceled. So we continued on to a grocery store. Not just any grocery, Publix Grocery of Florida is expanding into North Carolina with locations in Raleigh and Cary. We went to the Cary store for a walk around and just a few things stuck to our fingers.
Does not look like beach weather
Saturday is a beach day, Fort Fisher State Beach. It is a two and a half hour ride each way to get there. After working our way to interstate forty, just ride in that to the east until the end and go another twenty two miles after Kure Beach. Friday our high temperature was in the low eighties and Saturday at the beach was in the high seventies with a lot of overcast sky. While driving out there was light rain but the forecast was for clearing late morning. It never was sunny but there was no rain while there at the beach. After beach tine we went to the North Carolina Aquarium for short visit, that is just beyond the state beach
On the way rest area, Does not look like beach weather

At the beach, Does not look like beach weather
At the Aquarium there are displays for above the water, and there is also a ypung bald eagle at feeding time.

One of Zane ‘s baseball team members birthday celebration was a night out at the baseball game for four boy’s. The Salamander’s Baseball team is a college A ball team based here in Holly Springs. It was a nice evening and the new stadium was built with the home plate facing northwest and all seats shaded for the evening game. After the game it was a sleepover at the birthday boy’s home.
