JD's Nueces River Park - Cotulla, TX Sept 28 - 29

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Wednesday, September 28, 2016
Morning 66 Degrees, Wind NW at 2 to 4 Mph, Humidity 91%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 88 Degrees, Wind N at 2 to 4 Mph, Humidity 56%, overcast.

Well they were here late last night (Tuesday) as my wife let them out after I went to bed. Work started later this morning and completed early (by late morning) and they started leaving the gate. There are some more equipment pickups to be made today and we close the gate tomorrow morning. I will start preparing Buster to move today. Latter in the afternoon the last two vehicles were in to complete their equipment pickup.

Cattle across the dirt road

I did have a cattle show again tonight with them show themselves coming out of the brush behind Buster five total grazing there. After awhile one stayed there “looking” while the other four came to Busters side of the dirt road to graze. But when the “looker” had enough and started walking towards Busters right side the others stopped grazing and followed. We wil miss the cattle shows.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Thursday, September 29, 2016
Morning 76 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 90%, overcast to partly sunny.

I was up my normal time and was out doing the rest of the outside preparations to move Buster after sun up. They came and got the ground tank for our waste water and then our company man came for the generator trailer. Now we waited with crossed communication. I thought we were all set to hand over the lock and key for the gate at ten o’clock and we were ready. After calling it turned out that the gauger was coming at noon and arrived fifteen minutes early. During our wait I backed Buster into the dirt road and connected Tan Jan to the tow bar and we were completely ready to go. This morning a propane truck came and I let him in telling the driver we might not be there when he comes out but we were and let him out.  We headed north to Cotulla.

JD's Nueces River Park - Cotulla, TX
Afternoon 93 Degrees, Wind E at 7 to 8 Mph, Humidity 30%, mostly sunny.
We took Buster north on TX 16 to Freer then US 59 west to TX 44 taking that over to Interstate 35. There was re-paving project underway for about twenty miles that we sat for ten minutes waiting the eastbound traffic. I decided to pass the exit for the RV Park and go to the next exit and put diesel fuel in Buster ($2.219) let him set with a full tank. The next exit was only one mile but, there is another re-paving project and that exit was closed so another four miles to exit. Not really long drive today one hundred sixty-four miles ten more than it should have been with fueling we were parked in the camp site about three-thirty.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Sept 26 - 27

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX -  Monday, September 26, 2016
Morning 71 Degrees, Wind NE at 5 to 8 Mph, Humidity 99%, overcast.
Afternoon 86 Degrees, Wind NW at 3 to 14 Mph, Humidity 69%, mostly cloudy.

I went to bed last night with rain as the Scattered Clouds we had collected and “weather” moved in giving the area a half an inch of rain. Workers in early today moving out the remaining equipment from the well site. And another rain shower about twelve-thirty that gave us another two tenths of an inch of rain.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Tuesday, September 27, 2016
Morning 64 Degrees, Wind N at 4 to 8 Mph, Humidity 94%, overcast.
Afternoon 77 Degrees, Wind NW at 8 to 14 Mph, Humidity 65%, overcast and some mist during the day.

We had vehicles in early today, almost an hour before sunrise, yes we are a twenty-four hour gate just noting the outside the normal routine. As I mentioned the other day we are near the end of this gate and today is the flurry or work at the end. I should also note the daylight is shorter and getting shorter everyday.

Black 550 gallon water tank
(fuel tank gray/white and generator)
This morning when I went to use some water there was none, nothing I turned on Busters pump using water from Buster’s fresh water tank and got what I needed. Last night I took a shower as normal with all the water I normally use. I waited until there was daylight before going to Buster’s left side to check the water problem. I found the water hose disconnect off the filter and laying on the ground and no water but evidence of water flooding the ground. The water tank on the trailer is empty but we have a full water tank in Buster. Our weekly water delivery is Tuesday and he was here early today, thank you. Which means we only used a small amount of Busters water before our delivery came to the gate today.

While the water was “off” I decided to change the filter cartridge and when starting that I closed the valve at the trailer. After the delivery and later in the morning I shut off Busters water pump. Later when I wanted to rinse off a tomato for lunch there was no water, then I remembered I did not turn on the valve at the trailer, I opened the valve and went back to lunch prep and having lunch. A while later a vehicle came to the gate and going out to open the gate I noticed water on the ground and went to close the valve first. After getting the vehicle in I noticed when changing the filter cartridge I did not get the case closed correctly and it took me two more tries to get it right. Now water is solved as I learn two things “again” leak check the filter and double check the connections when connecting hoses. The filter change was a job done in stages that I normally do together in one fluid operation.

We had two cows today, after my wife got up from her day sleep we were talking and I happened to notice out the window one cow grazing across the dirt road behind Buster then the second one appeared out of the brush and they lingered for a while before moving on to where the picture was taken from looking out Buster’s from door (right side) with them continuing on into the brush ahead of them.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Sept 23 - 25

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Friday, September 23, 2016
Morning 76 Degrees, Wind N at 1 to 2 Mph, Humidity 90%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 98 Degrees, Wind E at 2 to 12 Mph, Humidity 44%, Scattered Clouds.

Slow Friday to a slow weekend. The frak tanks remaining on site had liquid remaining in them and they need to be empty to transport off site as these tanks are not designed to move down the road with liquid inside them. There were two water tanker trucks working to remove that liquid. At the end of yesterday’s work I was told we will be done here at this gate Tuesday or Wednesday. I am expecting the crew in Monday to pickup the last of their equipment they have remaining on the well site.
Cattle grazing in front of Buster's left side

Cattle show again tonight about ten total slowly walking and grazing coming to Buster from the left they came close lingered eating and them did the unexpected as they returned back the same way they came. All of the other times they would return to the dirt road continuing behind Buster going to Busters right side and continuing up the fence line. This is the first time they turned at Buster’s left side and went back from where they came from.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Saturday, September 24, 2016
Morning 75 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 4 Mph, Humidity 93%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 98 Degrees, Wind SW at 8 to 13 Mph, Humidity 43%, mostly sunny.
Frak tanks moving out the gate

Water, Propane and oil tanker trucks, college football and NASCAR races on television to keep me busy. Our granddaughter’s softball team played a late game although she was not there she was visiting and interviewing at a college in South Carolina.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Sunday, September 25, 2016
Morning 78 Degrees, Wind NE at 3 to 4 Mph, Humidity 88%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 98 Degrees, Wind sw at 5 to 14 Mph, Humidity 44%, Scattered Clouds.

The last of the frak tanks (4) are removed today and our granddaughter played in four games two games back to back and a game brake then repeating the back to back games. These are “showcase” for college scouts and the “play” of the player is the important thing not the score of who won or lost. With that there was another NASCAR and pro football. It is also Sunday and going to town shopping again after my wife got up from her day sleep. Another small shopping list but there are always two important things for a shopping day, drinking water as we do not drink the water that they deliver to the generator trailer. We do have a filter we use on Busters incoming water but we do not drink that. And we need to dispose of our garbage. Gasoline for Tan Jan was $1.769 this week. When gas is less than $2.00 it seams cheep but I can rember gass in 1972 at $0.239 per gallon, now that was cheep.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Sept 19 - 22

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Monday, September 19, 2016
Morning 77 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 2 Mph, Humidity 93%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 99 Degrees, Wind NE at 2 to 7 Mph, Humidity 39%, mostly sunny.

Flow back crew are done this late this afternoon they took some of their equipment with them when they left but will return tomorrow for the rest. A slow day with just two water trucks removing water from the flow back.

Tonight about five thirty or six we had a cattle show, strung out as the first seen were a threesome then a short while later a few more then a few more then we had a propane tank truck leave the site. The truck caused the cattle to scatter on up the road and into the brush as they are very frightful.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Tuesday, September 20, 2016
Morning 74 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 93%, mostly suny.
Afternoon 98 Degrees, Wind SW at 4 to 6 Mph, Humidity 42%, Scattered Clouds.

Back to a slow day with a couple of vehicles late in the day.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Wednesday, September 21, 2016
Morning 76 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 80%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 96 Degrees, Wind NNE at 4 to 14 Mph, Humidity 33%, sunny.

Right next to nothing here at our gate. Two vehicles came today and plenty of television time for us to pass the time. We did have a cattle show tonight with it ending after six thirty. First was a group of three and a straggler walking and eating, what I do not know as there is not much grass. They did not come close to Buster or the generator trailer because when they got to about twelve feet from the generator trailer they diverted to the center or far side of the dirt road that goes behind Buster.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Thursday, September 22, 2016
Morning 72 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 91%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 94 Degrees, Wind E at 4 to 7 Mph, Humidity 46%, mostly cloudy.
Frak tanks before any were removed

We got some action here today with a wire line truck and support trucks coming to the well site. Frak tank removal stopped last weekend when there were two tanks remaining because these had liquid remaining in them. That required the liquid removed before they can move the tanks off site. Yes the frak tanks have wheels to roll down the highway but the wheels and springs are not there to carry the weight of the liquid inside them. So today we had the water tanker trucks hauling out the liquid.

Cattle showed again tonight as a few (four) slowly walking up the far side of the dirt road. About the time they were going to go behind Buster and out of our sight more appeared walking towards Buster a couple in this group were “lookers” concentrating at  looking at Buster or our generator trailer. While other cows were walking closer and eating. Finally they also continued their walk and passing behind Buster out of our sight. And with that our last vehicle inside at the work area for the day left the site.

Thought For The Day – Sometimes it takes me all day long to get nothing done.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Sept 16- 18

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Friday, September 16, 2016
Morning 75 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 97%, sunny.
Afternoon 97 Degrees, Wind ENE at 5 to 6 Mph, Humidity 44%, Scattered Clouds.

Slower day today Frak tanks are moving out and water tank trucks removing water coming up from the well. That is part of the flow back operation. The ground is slowly drying from Thursday’s rain. Each day one of the flow back crewmen goes out to town shopping and diesel furl for their truck. There are only two guys one day and one night. To us they just make a couple of gate openings each day. Being a slow gate it gives us something every day.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Saturday, September 17, 2016
Morning 76 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 95%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 99 Degrees, Wind E at 3 to 10 Mph, Humidity 44%, mostly sunny.

A second day of Frak tanks being moved out. Our grand children in North Carolina have softball and baseball games this weekend. They are each on traveling teams and both are in South Carolina but different locations. We are able to follow along on the computer with the site Game Changer. The action is posted and a scoring book. The play posting is updates pitch by pitch and outs are recorded in red with plays resulting in a run scored posted in green. The action is all there in black white and color words and a picture of the field to show where the players are positioned . Our grandson’s team did not have a good day but our granddaughter’s team did much better.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Sunday, September 18, 2016
Morning 76 Degrees, Wind SSE at 5 to 8 Mph, Humidity 94%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 101 Degrees, Wind SSW at 1 to 4 Mph, Humidity 36%, sunny.

Ball games started early as the teams need to travel home today starting by eight this morning an hour earlier here at the gate in Central Time Zone. My wife was up early so I could make our grocery run into Rio Grand City, Texas. We did not need that much but we did have to deposit garbage as we do not have a “trash trailer” on site during the limited work schedule here. We have had this at other gates we have be located at with some being more difficult to dispose of the trash.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Sept 14 - 15

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Wednesday, September 14, 2016
Morning 75 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 91%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 97 Degrees, Wind NNW at 1 to 6 Mph, Humidity 41%, Scattered Clouds.

More of the Scattered Clouds are over Buster blocking the sunshine and cooling him off. There are rain showers in the area but not here at the gate.

We had workers here late last night and others back here early this morning. Fracking today and more people (pickup trucks) in for that operation.  This afternoon the Frak trucks were departing for other places so after a slow morning vehicle traffic picked up this afternoon. So all three afternoons have been busy this week. We are expecting to only be here two weeks, we well see if that turns out to be true, I think we may be here longer.

My wife was cleaning inside the microwave convection oven and the wave guide cover plate for the wave guide was crumbling (fiberglass). I got the microwave ovem part number and went on line looking for General Electric microwave ovens and found the parts breakdown and was able to order a replacement part $12.00 plus shipping. I am having it sent to our post office box and forwarded later with our next mail shipment.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Thursday, September 15, 2016
Morning 75 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 93%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 95 Degrees, Wind NE at 4 to 7 Mph, Humidity 48%, Scattered Clouds.

Slower day but I have been getting better signals from the sensors when vehicles are coming out from the well site. Other work is being done at the compressor station on site and “flow back” is continuing at the well.

A good rain after dinner for about twenty minutes after that the crew working at the compressor station came out before dark.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Sept 13

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Tuesday, September 13, 2016
Morning 73 Degrees, Wind variable at 1 to 10 Mph, Humidity 92%, sunny.
Afternoon 99 Degrees, Wind NNE at 4 to 12 Mph, Humidity 39%, Scattered Clouds.

Sand trucks coming in the gate this morning and fracking company trucks this afternoon. Yesterday the trucks that store and handle the sand had come in and been placed at the well site. Also a trailer with chemicals, (pallet size containers) was parked.

Mighty Mule
I am having trouble with the driveway sensors alerting me to vehicles coming in and leaving our gate area. My sensor is good range of transmitting a signal about a half mile I am using that for out going vehicles. But there are two problem areas with that sensor one speeding vehicles there is no signal and heat/wind send false warning signals. With real or false signals from where i sit  in the passengers seat I can look out Buster’s left side windows for vehicles and still be out the door and to the gate in good time. Those windows are on the east side of Buster and i have an awning there to keep the sun out. But the speeders no signal are a different story. Sometimes I can tell there is a vehicle engine idling out side. Other times a horn works well. I have one Mighty Mule (we had two last time here at this gate) but I cannot get it to work?

Mighty Mule sensor laying n the ground

Last time I had the transmitter in a orange cone and this time no cone, so I am using a box to support the transmitter and the sensor just lays on the ground. When it works it’s very good as there are no false signals it takes a vehicle to cause and alarm signal. The six hundred foot range of the transmitter is the limiting factor for me. I have tried three locations two on the far side of the road and one on the near side with no luck. The gate guard company gave us two sets of Bunker Hill sensors again limited range (six hundred feet for the transmitter) but they pickup every moving thing around. Outside the gate I have to be careful how I position the sensor so we do not get the vehicles going past the gate on the road. They have two volume levels and we use the lower as the upper level is too loud. This is all a work in progress.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Sept 12

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Monday, September 12, 2016
Morning 72 Degrees, Wind variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 94%, .
Afternoon 97 Degrees, Wind SSW at 3 to 9 Mph, Humidity 58%, sunny.
Decking outside Buster
When we step down from Buster we do not step directly on the ground. I have wood cut and stored in Buster that I assemble into sections of decking. One section I have is two feet by two feet I carry assembled in Tan Jan and use as the first step outside Buster. It is a nice firm footing when stepping out of Buster. The other sections are two feet by four feet and I have two of them assembled. I have placed one near the gate post and the other adjacent to the two foot section. The one by the gate post is “if” there is rain that area is a trough of water running thru under the cattle guard.
Walking deck boards assembled,
Decking at the gate post
I got out our new Omani cell telephone antenna and the support pole and got that set and connected to our cell phone amplifier. The signal is a little stronger than last time we were here but it is not the best signal. Mostly 3G with some 4G but we have not dropped down to 1X yet.

I was able to get this work done with very little vehicle traffic coming thru the gate this morning. Latter in the day vehicles were coming in for another Frak that will happen on Wednesday.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX Sept 11

Pleasanton, Texas - Atascosa RV Park - Sunday, September 11, 2016
Morning 72 Degrees, Wind N at 4 to 5 Mph, Humidity 81%, mostly sunny.
We have a three o’clock appointment this afternoon to meet at the gate, our generator trailer and the gate key person. We had Buster packed and pulling out of the RV park at eleven ten.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX
Afternoon 96 Degrees, Wind  at  to  Mph, Humidity 61%, Scattered Clouds with a rain shower.

Buster stopped in Tilden for a drink of diesel fuel ($2.229) not the best price but location and timing are everything. The butterflies got to Buster’s windshield during the trip but there was a good rain shower to clean them off. For a while after the rain shower we were bug free but they did start again near the end of the trip but not as numerous as the first part of the trip. One hundred and sixty-five miles mostly on TX 16 at about two-forty we arrived at our gate.

Buster’s generator and water trailer was already on site on our arrival at the gate. We drove right in and proceeded to disconnect Tan Jan from the tow bar and park Buster. Then spent the rest of the day connecting and setting up Buster and equipment we use at the gate. Then the hard part electrical problems. First was our portable air conditioner started then stopped. I use the thirty amp receptacle with and adapter and a twelve gauge fifty foot extension cord to power the air conditioner. Checking I found no power and went out to the adapter and it looked burned then I connected the extension cord into another receptacle on the generator, and we have power to the air conditioner (adapter no good).
In this picture you can see some smashed butterflies

I had put up the TV antenna and that was on and working as a program started recording. We had gotten things out of the refrigerator that is working then it is not. No power on the right side TV is not working. After checking circuit breakers and resetting it anyway nothing is working. Finally I wake up and remember check the receptacle in the bathroom it is ground fault, it was tripped. Let me back up here and say that first I worked to get the refrigerator on line. I did that by removing the panel on Buster’s left side where the refrigerator is located and ran an extension cord to thee refrigerator plug, we have power and a working refrigerator. After resetting the ground fault receptacle all power is normal. I can now plug the refrigerator into the regular receptacle. I got the outside portable lights setup and on if my wife needs to go out tonight in the driveway.
After the rain shower

Morning 73 Degrees, Wind SSE at 3 to 4 Mph, Humidity 95%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 94 Degrees, Wind SE at 5 to 9 Mph, Humidity 41%, sunny.
Buster in the RV Park

Cut and fit day, here at the RV park we have a table at each site and I am able to layout the foil and cut the panels for the windows using the picnic table. Typical picnic table with space between the planks allows me to have the razor knife pass thru the foil and between the planks of the table to cut the foil panels.

Pleasanton, Texas - Atascosa RV Park - Saturday, September 10, 2016
Morning 74 Degrees, Wind ENE at 4 to 5 Mph, Humidity 96%, mostly sunny.

Morning 78 Degrees, Wind N calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 98%, overcast & Scattered Clouds.
Afternoon 93 Degrees, Wind SE at 8 to 15 Mph, Humidity 58%, mostly sunny.

Doctors visits for both of us to get new prescriptions. I was lucky not getting a blood sample taken today. I was ready having fasted just in case. The weather looked iffy for a trip to the beach but that is what my wife wanted to get her toes in the Gulf of Mexico sand.

My Wife on the Beach South Padre Island

Corpus Christi south Padre island, rain showers on our way down there but no rain after we arrived or our return trip. On the highway both ways we were getting butterfly’s smacking into the windshield and the front of Tan Jan. We stopped for gasoline ($1.959 per gallon) (I have been paying a little less at Murphy but a chance to clean windshield)  about half way of our trip each way and cleaned the windshield. The rain showers also helped in clearing of the smashed bugs off the windshield with the wipers.

Buster parked in the RV Park

Afternoon 95 Degrees, Wind SE at 4 to 12 Mph, Humidity 39%, hazy sunshine.

Culvers on the northwest side of San Antonio for lunch today. Before that I went to Home Depot for a roll of bubble foil (Reflectix) I need to cover some more windows keeping the sun and heet our of Buster. Previously I doubled the windshield bubble foil and noticed an improvement in the insulating value so I am doing the same to other windows around Buster.

We have a gate starting Monday, the same gate we were at for over two months. The oil company is going to do more work and asked for us to come back to the gate.

Pleasanton, Texas - Atascosa RV Park Aug 31 - Sep 3

Pleasanton, Texas - Atascosa RV Park - Wednesday, August 31, 2016
Morning 74 Degrees, Wind N at 4 to  Mph, Humidity 93%, partly sunny.
Afternoon 93 Degrees, Wind N at 3 to 14 Mph, Humidity 45%, Scattered Clouds rain shower.

San Antonio here we come, a trip to Texas RV Supply in northeast San Antonio, setting up in the RV site yesterday I broke the strap in the drain hose support slinky. The flexible extendable support we have used since 2008 just broke when I lifted it from the storage compartment. We were able to stop at a few places for my wife to walk thru looking. After a long stay at the gate she gets the out time looking and getting some things she wants. We stopped for lunch before returning to Buster.

Buster at the RV Park

Pleasanton, Texas - Atascosa RV Park - Thursday, September 1, 2016
Morning 6 Degrees, Wind  at  to  Mph, Humidity %, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 92 degrees, Wind N at 4 to 5 Mph, Humidity 53 mostly sunny.
Today along with the small stuff I did around Buster in the morning we then drove to the northwest side of San Antonio for New York style Pizza. On the way there was a Walmart we had not been into in a long time so we made that stop before getting the pizza. Working at the gate all day I try to be ready when a vehicle arrives and not involved in a project trying to accomplish something.

Pleasanton, Texas - Atascosa RV Park - Friday, September 2, 2016
Morning 74 Degrees, Wind N at 4 to 5 Mph, Humidity 88%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 93 Degrees, Wind NE at 4 to 6 Mph, Humidity 68%, Scattered Clouds rain shower.

Earlier week we were on the east side now two days in a row we are on the northwest side of San Antonio having our lunch at Culvers. Just being able to go out almost every day is a treat having been tied to the gate together everyday for over two months. This short break we are making the most of the time to accomplish small projects get out every day.

Sunrise here at the RV Park

Pleasanton, Texas - Atascosa RV Park - Saturday, September 3, 2016
Morning 72 Degrees, Wind N at calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 96%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 92 Degrees, Wind ESE at 6 to 7 Mph, Humidity 49%, Scattered Clouds
and a rain shower shortly before sunset.

Closer to Buster now that the holiday weekend is here. We are trying to stay away from the city traffic during the holiday weekend. Went into Pleasanton picking up prescriptions (last refill in that one). Quiet day and the traffic in Pleasanton is actually lower on the weekend.

Pleasanton, Texas - Atascosa RV Park - Aug 29 -30

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Monday, August 29, 2016
Morning 76 Degrees, Wind E variable, calm to 1 Mph, Humidity 90%, mostly sunny.
Afternoon 94 Degrees, Wind  at  to  Mph, Humidity 47%, Scattered Clouds.

Started like the past few days with the gauger - pumper in about six-thirty, he checks the wells and compressor station and orders trucks for the water, oil and propane removal. A water truck was in a little latter for two loads of water going out. Then the call to close the gate tomorrow morning. So we are packing and planning our trip to Pleasanton, Texas with next Tuesday going to the doctor. With that news the packing and moving preparations picked up to move Buster out tomorrow.

Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX - Tuesday, August 30, 2016
Morning 76 Degrees, Wind N at 3 to 5 Mph, Humidity 91%, overcast.

I was up early as usual finishing our preparation to depart the gate today. The overcast morning made for comfortable conditions while working outside also keeping Buster cool.

Buster left the gate with Tan Jan in tow after ten-thirty headed north to Pleasanton on TX 16 a skinny two lane road.

Pleasanton, Texas - Atascosa RV Park
Afternoon 84 Degrees, Wind E at 5 to 6 Mph, Humidity 70%, mostly sunny.

We arrived here just after two in the afternoon. Texas sixteen is ok, but there are some bumpy miles over all it is a good road with low traffic. The shortest route with the trip one hundred sixty five miles from gate to RV park. Driving north we drove into rain giving Buster a good rinse. Tan Jan being towed behine took a dirty bath with the wheel spray and rain, car wash for tomorrow.
