Busters Gate Jim Hogg County TX
Afternoon 96 Degrees, Wind  at  to  Mph, Humidity 61%, Scattered Clouds with a rain shower.

Buster stopped in Tilden for a drink of diesel fuel ($2.229) not the best price but location and timing are everything. The butterflies got to Buster’s windshield during the trip but there was a good rain shower to clean them off. For a while after the rain shower we were bug free but they did start again near the end of the trip but not as numerous as the first part of the trip. One hundred and sixty-five miles mostly on TX 16 at about two-forty we arrived at our gate.

Buster’s generator and water trailer was already on site on our arrival at the gate. We drove right in and proceeded to disconnect Tan Jan from the tow bar and park Buster. Then spent the rest of the day connecting and setting up Buster and equipment we use at the gate. Then the hard part electrical problems. First was our portable air conditioner started then stopped. I use the thirty amp receptacle with and adapter and a twelve gauge fifty foot extension cord to power the air conditioner. Checking I found no power and went out to the adapter and it looked burned then I connected the extension cord into another receptacle on the generator, and we have power to the air conditioner (adapter no good).
In this picture you can see some smashed butterflies

I had put up the TV antenna and that was on and working as a program started recording. We had gotten things out of the refrigerator that is working then it is not. No power on the right side TV is not working. After checking circuit breakers and resetting it anyway nothing is working. Finally I wake up and remember check the receptacle in the bathroom it is ground fault, it was tripped. Let me back up here and say that first I worked to get the refrigerator on line. I did that by removing the panel on Buster’s left side where the refrigerator is located and ran an extension cord to thee refrigerator plug, we have power and a working refrigerator. After resetting the ground fault receptacle all power is normal. I can now plug the refrigerator into the regular receptacle. I got the outside portable lights setup and on if my wife needs to go out tonight in the driveway.
