The Original Ranch, Lakewood, NM - MEWS

Thursday, October 25, 2012
The Original Ranch, Lakewood, New Mexico 61 degrees and mostly sunny to 73 degrees and sunny.

MEWS - (Men Eating Without Supervision) thirteen of us car-pooled to The Paddock restaurant about five miles east of Artesia, NM for breakfast this morning. We left the ranch at eight-thirty for the drive there. After breakfast I relaxed for the day.

At four o'clock Bonnie and I went to happy hour at the ranch house. After dinner we played Mexican train with Don and Doris.

The Original Ranch, Lakewood, New Mexico 38 degrees and partly sunny to 57 degrees and sunny. There was a cold front that moved across the region yesterday giving us a cool day and this morning a coldest morning of the season.

Today I went to Carlsbad Lowes for a few more things to complete our laundry work. Then Bonnie and I went to the county clerk’s office for early voting. We cast our ballots in Eddy County New Mexico election district # 38. This is one of three visitors that came in today.

After happy hour one of the locals was having dinner outside the ranch house. Soren and John walking over did not bother her or interrupt her dinner. After our dinner we played Mexican train with Don and Doris at the ranch house.
