Tom Sawyer RV Park West Memphis AR 54 degrees and partly sunny with a nice sunrise. The Saturday barge traffic seems lower than a weekday.

On the road about ten o’clock one hundred seventy-seven miles today almost all on the interstate highway forty. Busters first day east of the Mississippi River since August of last year. Traffic was medium to heavy thru Memphis and east for a while then it thinned out. The trucks were still coming and passing as forty is a major east west route for them.

(Revised July 2021)We (George & Bonnie) retired to Florida from New York in Nov 96 and in 2006 decided that staying there was not what we wanted for seeing our children and grandchildren. There in Florida were hurricanes and humidity that we wanted to escape from. We made plans to sell, buy an RV (Buster Brown) to travel between our children and grandchildren located in Holly Springs and Apex, North Carolina and Austin, Texas. October 2007 we purchased Buster, our moterhome and in May 2008 our house sold and we started our full timing RV trip going to North Carolina. September 2008 we started our first trip west and found our home park The Ranch an Escapees RV club co-op park in Lakewood, New Mexico. (Lakewood Co-op past president of the board of directors, 2012) We spend fall and spring seasons there in New Mexico. Winters are in Arizona with summers in North Carolina seeing out two of our daughters and two grandchildren. On the way east or west Buster passes thru Austin, TX for another daughter and grandson fix. Bonnie and I are currently retired from Gate Guarding in southwest Texas spending our time in New Mexico. And there is more to this story, we have hung up the keys to the moterhome and purchased a park model trailer and are now in Moncure, North Carolina
