Ranch, Lakewood, NM - monsoon season

Tuesday, July 3, 2012
The Original Ranch, Lakewood, New Mexico 68 degrees (for a short time) and mostly sunny to 93 degrees (also for a short time) and partly sunny. Well it happened today the thunder storm hit about two o’clock with me trying to take a nap. I in the front chair with the television on starting to dose the rain tapping on the roof and Bonnie calling from the back asking if the car windows are closed, of course not, all four windows are full down. At that moment I had no idea what was going on. I guess it has started "monsoon season"? Seven hundredths of an inch has been measured by the weather service. One of our neighbors measures three tenths. In the picture below you can see the water puddling on the concrete.

We now have a hole in the floor for water to come into the building and the insulated pipe will be there soon. Mens coffee and water committee meeting at ten o’clock, not many here for either.

These two pictures were taken in front of Buster after the storm.
At four o’clock we went to happy hour.
