Happy Birthday Irene
Watertown, SD
48 degrees & foggy this morning in Crookston, MN. We are moving south for repairs to our tow bar. A three hundred and seventy six mile trip, two days for Buster stopping over night in Watertown, South Dakota. Buster was southbound on US 75 when we had to detour as the road was closed. Well that was not marked well an buster ended the day doing an extra 24 miles and those were not quick miles, while trying to figure where to go. This is the time paper maps help most. Miss Re-calculating (Garmin GPS) does not do well and Buster does not like dirt roads. The drive to Fargo, ND also was complicated by fog that was slowly lifting was we drove from Crookston to Fargo. South of Fargo it was a nice sunny day.

Watertown, SD 48 degrees and sunny. Boyden, IA 77 degrees breezy sunny. Buster drove 178 miles to Boyden, Iowa (no pictures, never crossed the noggin) for Sally's tow bar overhaul at Demco Products. There is a town park a block away where Buster parked with 20 amp electric. I tried to remove the tow bar and could not. The lock I had put on that bolt in December 2007 would not release. Their man came to the park and removed the bar leaving the locked shank doing into Buster's two inch receiver, they will remove that tomorrow.

50 degrees clear & sunny in Boyden, IA. I went to Demco Products the tow bar manufacturer after 8 and the tow bar was ready. I purchased a new set of locking pins and a boot to cover the tow bar when not in use. The service man took the one for Buster with the serviced tow bar cut off the lock removing the shank and installed the tow bar on Buster with a new shank as that was an upgrade from a split to a solid shank. Only cost was the new pins and tow bar cover.

Nebraska City, NE
We moved on down the road before 10:30 AM. We stopped for the night in Nebraska City, Nebraska nice warm day for traveling south. We crossed the Missouri River with high water coming into Nebraska City. Our traveling south has had us on the side of a river since leaving Crookston, Mn
